Suburban Homestead Tips
You don't have to live on 30+ acres to spend time in nature, grow a vegetable garden, make bread from scratch, use power tools, and generally be more self-sufficient. You can start where you are.
Because here's the thing...
On this blog you can follow along our homestead journey (from the very start!), learn about the benefits of nature therapy, and hopefully be inspired to create a simpler, slower-paced life.

Welp... I'm jumping off that belt.
In May of 2021 my husband and I bought my grandpa's house, and for the first time after 5+ years living in apartments or with roommates... we had our OWN house on .33 acres near the city.
While our ultimate goal is to buy some land further out in the country with lots of trees, some pastures, and a creek; we're taking the next couple years to pay off debt, save for the perfect land and house, and beef up our homesteading skills.
At the core of this is a desire for a simpler, slower lifestyle that's rooted in self-sufficiency and a deeper connection to nature.
Some days I look around and it feels like everyone is on a conveyor belt.
